Infinity ballot

The winner of Bateau’s 2025/’26 BOOM chapbook contest is Infinity Ballot by the supremely talented Abby Minor. The chapbook will be published by Bateau in the spring of 2026. We are crazy happy to be working with Abby and our letterpress polymath, Chris Fritton. Infinity Ballot will drop on April 1, 2026.

Abby Minor lives in the ridges and valleys of central Pennsylvania. Granddaughter of Appalachian tinkerers and Yiddish-speaking New Yorkers, she teaches poetry and art classes in low-income nursing homes and youth centers. Her first book, As I Said: A Dissent (Ricochet Editions, 2022), is a collection of long documentary poems concerning abortion and reproductive politics in U.S. history.

The poems in Infinity Ballot chronicle homespun aesthetics and politics in American backwaters, as well as the weird and unlikely encounters that take place in the home/spinning.
